5/6 Students have been exploring the use of paint to create movement in their artworks. Inspired by the artist Vasily Kandinsky students collected photographs of different flowers to create a collage. Using the colours of the flowers as inspiration the students then painted a background for their collage. The brushstrokes used to paint the background give the appearance of movement around the flowers.
3/4 students painted a ‘Still Life’ of our school’s native Australian flowers. The plants are located just near the Art room. We looked at Australia’s most celebrated artist Margaret Preston for inspiration. The artwork belongs to Aaditya in room 4 and Doveani from room 8.
