Students from grades 1- 6 are taking part in the 2013 Doodle 4 Google Competition. It offers young people the chance to have their artwork viewed by millions of people all across the internet. This year’s theme is “If I was an explorer I would….”
Students have been asked to think about all the wonderful things they would like to discover and see (locations, scientific discoveries, worlds in books, a special art, an imaginary place, other planets). They have been given the Google logo to design and represent ideas about their exploration. Students will also be required to write a short statement describing their doodle.
Over the next couple of weeks these designs will be uploaded onto the internet by the art teachers for the world to view.
